Drunk Shoppers Banned From IKEA After Urinating in the Store
Police removed two intoxicated individuals from the store after one urinated inside. Both were fined and banned for a year.
Two people were fined and banned from IKEA in Groningen on Friday afternoon after causing a scene while heavily intoxicated.
According to the police, the pair were visibly drunk as they wandered through the store. The situation escalated when one of them decided to urinate inside the building. Officers were called in and issued fines for public intoxication.
Both individuals have also been given a one-year ban from entering the IKEA branch.
Police reminded the public that while daytime drinking may seem harmless in some settings, creating a disturbance in public spaces, especially inside a family-oriented store, will not be tolerated.
