Community Spotlights

On Thursday, FC Groningen was knocked out of the KNVB Beker, losing to Feyenoord Rotterdam in the semi-finals. Despite Laros Duarte putting Groningen ahead, Feyenoord turned the game around with goals from David Hancko and Ondrej Lingr in the second half, securing a 2-1 victory.

This week, UK Deputy Ambassador Keith Allan visited Groningen, meeting with Mayor Koen Schuiling to discuss issues of energy transition and migration. He also spoke with University of Groningen students, who had the chance to learn more about his life as a diplomat and discuss the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war.
