Community Spotlights
On Saturday, Groningen city centre was alive with people enjoying the sunny weather and some beautiful live music. A choir sang with the Noord Nederlands Orkest while four different marching bands played along.
These performances are part of a larger event organised by the orchestra, in honour of composer Charles Ives.
There’s a new butcher in town, but there’s a twist. It only sells beef.
Iris Hoekstra, at only 20-years-old, this week opened ‘Vleeshouwerij Rademarkt’. She’s the fifth generation in her family of butchers, and we’re very pleased to see another young entrepreneur in the city! From Thursday, you can go give it a try.
